What does collective liberation look like in practice?

As an abolitionist training and mediation collective, Spring Up has been on the front lines of putting our values into practice for over a decade. We have translated our learnings into a new textbook, Getting Free Together (available soon)! For this event, we bring together community leaders across New Orleans to review the book and discuss how the principals and practices of prison abolition show up in their organizations. We will explore what it means to go beyond theory and into daily practice — how being an abolitionist organizer informs accountability practices, relationship building, and decision making around the type of work you will prioritize.
