Safety & Care Webinar

The Safety and Care webinar is focused around collectivizing care work and examining consent practices with yourself when engaging in care work and is aimed towards advocates, organizers, crisis responders, therapists, teachers, and lawyers. In our time together, we will center our offering around Spring Up’s safety & self care plan, how to care for yourself when supporting others, and utilizing somatic approaches to (re)connect with embodied wisdom.

We will be talking about how our pedagogy embraces harm reduction in collaboration with others as an alternative to professionalized care models which often work from a place of saviorism. By the end of this webinar, participants will leave with both theoretical frameworks and concrete resources to support their work within their community. They will have learned how boundaries, mutual aid, harm reduction, and somatic embodiment support an equitable distribution of care work.⁠

This event is a 90 minute webinar hosted on Zoom with 60 minutes being the presentation and 30 minutes for Q&A.
